Click on "Digital Edition" on the site navigation bar. Below the site navigation there are five tabs to choose from the following sequences:
Below the tabs there are the controls for the audio player. Here you can change the volume (on the right), pause, rewind and fast-forward the sequence and view the elapsed and remaining time (on the left). By clicking on the progress bar you can jump directly to the respective position in the song.
The next control panel shows the bindings of all St. Gall manuscripts that contain the currently played sequence and are already digitized. They are listed from left to right in chronological order according to their date of origin, starting with the earliest St. Gall Troparies/Sequentiaries from the 10th century (CH-SGs 381, 484), continuing with the manuscripts from the 11th century (CH-SGs 382, 376, 378, 380) and the later "Codex Cuontz" (CH-SGs 546) from the 16th century, that already contains stave notation. Rightmost there is the manuscript CH-E 121 from the monastery of Einsiedeln, which is geographically adjacent as well as culturally related to St. Gall with regard to the writing style. The first manuscript, CH-SGs 381 is pre-selected. By clicking on a different binding, that manuscript is selected and the page containing the texts and neumes of the selected sequence is displayed below. Hovering the mouse over a binding displays metadata for that manuscript (place of origin, date of origin, number of pages, a summary of the content etc.).
To the left there are small preview images of all pages from the selected manuscript which contain the texts and neumes auf the currently playing sequence. By clicking on a preview page that page is displayed and the audio jumps to the respective position in the song. If you don't click on a preview page, the displayed manuscript page changes automatically when the audio reaches the respective position in the song.
Above the main manuscript image there is a control panel to change the size of the displayed manuscript page. You can choose from four different sizes. Clicking the mangifying glass with the minus symbol inside loads the next smaller, clicking the magnifying glass with the plus symbol inside loads the next bigger resolution.
To the top right of the displayed manuscript page there is a dropdown menu in wich you can choose from the following viewing options:
